This is a scary thought, and I applaud Jen for taking a stand! There are those churches out there I'm sure because all churches are full of sinners. As far as the "condescending" tone, I simply disagree. I'm not sure that it's helpful to draw lines in the way you seem to be doing here Let's not stop the flow of grace until we find it. God continues to call us; drawing us to Himself.

Bring me your doubts, your fear. We serve a God who has not called us to be safe. She speaks on college, high school, and junior high campuses public and private ; at recovery centers, women's prisons, sororities, and at womens' and girls' events. I haven't had time to write my own heart lately. There is some major contradiction when you essentially said changing the law isn't worth it because it will never be stopped, but yet, we can do it "one life at a time". And contrary to much belief, it's not always harsh to the woman struggling. And surely some are not, just like some emergent churches may be spending more time celebrating themselves than being Jesus to others.
